It might shock you, but poultry (like chicken and turkey) is one of the foods we waste the most. But, with some simple tips and tricks, you can store any chicken or other poultry you buy safely so it stays fresher for longer.
The mulled wine flavours in which the chicken is cooked smacks of winter, and is delicious served with a creamy leek mashed potato or baked potato or you could even serve it with couscous. Accompany with seasonal vegetables or braised red cabbage.
Making extra porridge at breakfast time can go some way to save time later in the week. Leftover porridge can be stored in the fridge for up to 5 days, and either stirred through and reheated, or used up in these tasty breakfast muffins.
