Do you make a shopping list? Is this the ultimate planning tool for ‘waste-less’ food shopping and eating? Do we really stick religiously to the shopping list?

Is the best approach a weekly or fortnightly shop for long life basics with fresh food top up shops in between? How can we shop so that our perishables survive our busy lifestyles?

Full freezer and roomy fridge? Should we aim to keep fresh and perishable foods to a minimum and use our freezer as the default home of many foods, especially bread, meat, ready meals and fish?

Before you shop, do you do a cupboard and fridge check so you don’t buy what you’ve already got? What could we do to make this as normal as checking we’ve got the front door keys?
