I am horrified that you even need to have this sort of campaign! If one-third of all food purchased is ending up in the bin then I must assume that there are a lot of people out there throwing away my share because in this household very little goes into the bin - I really think it is a sin to throw out food (and I am not a religious person) Black-skinned bananas are just over-ripe and very sweet - lovely mixed with plain yogurt and honey; left-over carrots are diced and added to frozen peas; mouldy skinned oranges can be peeled and the fruit (which is usually just fine!) put in the fridge, and it will keep for several more days, or added to a fruit salad. And almost anything can be added to a risotto! Close
