We are throwing away £12 BILLION of food every year in the UK.

Leicestershire supports Love Food Hate Waste

Here in Leicestershire we are known for foods such as pork pies and Stilton cheese and one of our market towns is even the Rural Capital of Food. Sadly this does not stop us from unnecessarily throwing perfectly good food away. However, there are steps we can all take to reduce the amount we dispose of.

The Leicestershire Waste Partnership is committed to reducing the amount of food waste currently sent to landfill. As well as the obvious environmental benefits, this will also save Leicestershire families an average of £50 a month, which can’t be bad.
