Two great new recipes for Love Food Hate Waste from famous chef Rachel Khoo

I'm thrilled to say Rachel Khoo has donated two great recipes to Love Food Hate Waste which have gone live today.

Rachel, an ordinary girl from Croydon, was determined to get to grips with French cooking. To learn more Rachel moved to Paris, not speaking a word of French, and enrolled at Le Cordon Bleu, the world-famous cookery school.

Five years later, she still lives and works in Paris, cooking up a selection of classic French dishes from all over the country and giving them a fresh makeover with her own modern twists.

We have two great new recipes for the website:

File 658Terrine Forestiere....or known to me as Wild Mushroom Terrine. I tried this over the weekend using some mushrooms that were starting to go over their best and some last bits of parsley which was starting to go floppy and it was absolutely wonderful - definately a recomendation

File 659

Then we have Poisson Meuniere, or fish in a lemon and butter sauce.

Meunière translates as ‘miller’s wife’, referring to the flour used to dredge the fish before it is cooked.

I've been watching Rachel's latest TV series filmed in her tiny flat and reading her new book The Little Paris Kitchen. This is definately worth a read once you've tried these recipes out.

When asked how she keeps her tiny kitchen so organised she said "

  • "As you might have noticed, my kitchen is small but perfectly formed! The key is to keep things really well organised so I make the most of the walls, storing food on shelves (some a little too high to reach which is where a step ladder comes in very handy). I also bought an island from Ikea which doubles up as an extra work surface for rolling out pastry, and as a storage space for all my pastry ingredients. I also use the outside of my kitchen window to store vegetables and potted herbs." If you are interested in finding out more visit her website

Watch out for more inspirational recipes coming soon from more great celebrity chefs who are all helping us to waste less and save more!
