Great new recipes from chef Valentine Warner

File 665Valentine Warner, celebrated chef and advocate of eating seasonally and wasting less food, has kindly donated two great new recipes to Love Food Hate Waste. Taken from The Good Table by Valentine Warner published by Mitchell Beazley they look really good.

Tomatoes with Dijon mustard and cream on toast
looks absolutely lovely and perfect for eating outside. It's a great way to use up ripe tomatoes, or the last splash of cream.

File 664And for afters? Iced Orange Loaf - I am definitely making this tonight, to last over the week ahead (if I can stop myself eating it all in one go!). I have a couple of oranges which need using up in the fridge and this is just the answer.

Valentine has long supported Love Food Hate Waste for which we're really grateful.

File 666At Feeding the 5000 in London last year FoodCycle did a surplus veg cooking demonstration with Valentine and we were there alongside them to give useful tips for reducing food waste at home.

So if you have any tomatoes or oranges in need of a new life this week...why not make something new courtesy of Valentine Warner!
