I think people just need to be encouraged and given some positive examples of what they can do with just a few things that might be lurking in the fridge/in the larder. I'm lucky to have come from a background has always been quite central and so it doesn't faze me to throw a few things together to produce something edible! It's a shame that young people don't doing cookery or in my day, home economics!
