People of my generation (I'm 26) have lost knowledge on preparing food. Unlike many of my friends, I know how to make stock, use a freezer, bake my own meals from fresh ingredients, because my mum showed me how as a child. I think lots of people her age moved against that kind of 'kitchen management' after experiencing stretching meals as far as possible during rationing- perhaps we do need to be taught about war time cookery!!! Going to think even more about managing my food waste from the tips on your website. Thanks.
