I'm passionate about not throwing food away - I love it too much! My top tips would be to use your freezer efficiently, keep on top of use by dates (and be selective about best before dates... in my opinion, unless it looks/smells off or is meat I'll eat anything past its date!) and blend up leftovers for soup.
