This is great, we need to also remember the cost to the environment of all the packaging of food that gets thrown away. I try hard not to overbuy and we compost any leftover fruit and veg peelings etc, plus all those egg boxes, cardboard packages and kitchen roll. I also rarely buy any food which is heavily packaged and this means we put out hardly anything in our rubbish bin. It really does make a difference.
