I'm proud of only very rarely throwing any food away - I make stock from bones and scraps, make soup from any leftover cooked veg and always love finding a way to stretch one more meal out of very little. I try to record my efforts on my blog http://distractedhousewife.blogspot.com, as I want to help other people to understand that food should be the centre of family life, not a mere afterthought.
