This has made me realise that normally I buy far too much on impulse, filling the trolley with food I don't really need, and often having to throw some of it away at the end of the week. Now I'm thinking carefully about how to use all the items of food each week, planning menus, with the added bonus that I'm not spending so much on food!! When I get my new car I intend to carry on being careful when shopping in the supermarket and avoid buying food I don't really need.
