I have always frozen leftover rice/stews/stir frys/chilli beef. They make great baked potato fillings, egg fried rice for another day or combine the casseroled beef with other leftovers of the same ilk to make a new complete meal. My parents taught me not to waste food and this has been passed on to my own grown up children.
