I slice any meats as soon as they are cold and freeze them on a flat plastic lid (old ice cream tubs are great for storing). I buy a crusty loaf, slice it before my husband gets to it and freeze it in bags. I get more slices out of a loaf than he does and it's always fresh and nothing gets wasted.
