North East Derbyshire District Council is proud to support the Love Food Hate Waste campaign. The campaign links in with our aim to reduce the amount of waste going to landfill. With a third of the food we buy in the UK being thrown away; wasting both resources and money as well as contributing to climate change, it has never been more important to consider our shopping and food preparation habits. We hope by supporting the campaign and encouraging home composting it will have a twofold positive effect, firstly on the environment and secondly on our residents wallets.
