I'm amazed at how much food people waste, and how little shame they have.
Wasted food is a waste of money and has a big impact on climate change. With food bills rising , looking at how we can save money has never been more important. With this in mind we are launching the Love Food Hate Waste Makeover Challenge.
We are looking for people from all walks of life , individuals and families, who feel their food waste and food bills are spiraling out of control. We are looking for people who would like the opportunity to acquire new food habits, learn from an expert on how to plan meals, manage the kitchen cupboards, cook with leftovers, and cut down on the weekly shopping bills.
Successful volunteers will receive a tailor-made personal consultation from our food management guru Caroline Marson, Love Food Hate Waste’s own Cookery Advisor. After an initial chat in your home about how and what you cook and an investigation into your food waste dilemmas, Caroline will prescribe you a detailed personal Food Rescue Pack which will include cutting edge gizmos and tools to help keep your kitchens running efficiently.
Your personal makeover story will be an inspiration to others. We’re looking for people who are willing to be photographed and to record their experiences and successes for publication on the Love Food Hate Waste website and in print articles and features.
Whether you are a single household, or live in student digs or are a retired couple or a large family we would like to hear from you! If you are chosen by our team, we will make arrangements to visit you for your personal consultation with Caroline Marson between mid September and the end of November 2008.
Initially we are looking for 6 individuals or familes, each in one of the following lifestages;
Closing date July 31st 2008.
